Parental and Community Involvement
Elite Academy is working to build and sustain strong community and family partnerships to ensure its school design reflects local needs while expanding opportunities for students. Community Partnerships Elite Academy has been driven by community-based trust and a wide spectrum of thought partners, including business and education professionals, community organizers, and champions of education reform. This broad-based support has been crucial in shaping the school’s vision and design to meet the needs of families and the community at large. To strengthen this support, Elite Academy has intentionally engaged families and community partners for input and long-term collaboration. The school has various Partners In Education, such as local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community members to support student needs, build student social capital, and expose students to diverse cultures and opportunities within Calcasieu Parish. Family Engagement Elite Academy has established a supportive learning culture by creating an environment where all stakeholders have a sense of connectedness. Because parent and community engagement are crucial to student success, the school will provide workshops and resources that empower parents to support their children’s education at home and strengthen the home-to-school connection.

Additional Educational Support Services: A Whole-Scholar Approach Elite Academy recognizes that academic achievement is influenced by more than the instruction scholars receive during the regular school day. Scholars may encounter academic, social-emotional, behavioral, health, family, attendance, or other challenges that can interfere with their ability to learn. To address these barriers proactively, Elite Academy has developed a comprehensive Whole-Scholar Support System designed to identify individual needs early and connect scholars and families with appropriate interventions and resources. The school's support model will combine academic intervention, tutoring, counseling, social-emotional development, extended learning, family engagement, special- population services, enrichment, and community partnerships. Services will be provided directly by Elite Academy personnel or, when appropriate, through qualified community partners and contracted providers. Elite Academy's philosophy will be simple: Identify needs early. Intervene strategically. Monitor progress consistently. Partner with families. Provide every scholar with the support necessary to succeed. Through this integrated Whole-Scholar Support System, Elite Academy seeks to ensure that every scholar is known, challenged, supported, and provided equitable opportunities to achieve academic excellence and thrive as a confident leader and global-minded citizen.
