Elite Charter Academy Receives State Approval, Set to Open This Fall

Elite Charter Academy is preparing to welcome its first students this fall after receiving approval from the State of Louisiana, marking an exciting milestone for educational opportunities in Southwest Louisiana.

Founded by Dr. Cathy Banks, Elite Charter Academy is the result of more than five years of planning, perseverance, and a commitment to serving local children and families.

"We've worked hard to bring this vision to life because we have a heart for the children and families of the Lake Charles area," said Dr. Banks.

Elite Charter Academy will open with kindergarten through second grade and plans to expand in the coming years. The school's educational model is designed to provide students with a strong academic foundation while introducing innovative learning opportunities that help prepare them for future success.

In addition to core academic subjects, Elite Charter Academy plans to incorporate agriculture, leadership development, and entrepreneurship into its curriculum. The goal is to help students develop practical skills, critical thinking abilities, and confidence as they prepare for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom.

Dr. Banks believes that exposing students to leadership and business concepts at an early age can help create future community leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
